30 before 30 - One year on.

When I turned 20, I set myself a list of 30 challenges to complete by the end of my twenties. A year on, I am on track to completing them, here's an update on hoow I am getting on. 1. Travel to all the continents - I turned 20 in Africa, making this my 5th continent, just South America and Antarctica to go now. Since my birthday I have also travelled back to Oceania, Asia, Europe and North America. 2. Cook a Sunday Roast - Some progress is being made on this and I am now comfortable cooking a roast for tea, but I am still yet to poduce a full Sunday Roast for my family. 3. Visit 40 countries - I currently stand at 29 having been to Indonesia, Singapore, Denmark and Canada for the first time since my birthday 4. Make a three tier cake 5. Graduate - not long to go until this one! 6. Finish my Starry Night cross stitch - I would be a lot further along ith this one if I stopped starting new projects! 7. Win a trip or something money can't buy (COMPLETE) - unbelievabl

Feeling a little lost

Yesterday, in one email, my final 3 months as an undergraduate were cancelled. The grad balls, the graduation, the final exams we will never sit. So instead I will be finsihing university online, from home or my uni room I'm yet to decide. It feels very strange, I feel very lost. All the excitement and celebrations won't be the same. All the lectures no longer interactive. No proper goodbyes or see you laters. I am very glad I made the decision a few months back to sign up for an extra year and complete a Masters at the same university, (in global health, how ironic!). At least my degree might become even more employable now. I'm taken the past day and a half off of work. Ate some chocolate, watched some Netflix, facetimed the family. But everything seems different. For months I had been worrying about Covid-19, but every time I bought it up to family and friends they dismissed the conversation; 'it's only in China, nothing to worry about'. But now they are

Hello

I've been thinking about setting up Statistitch for a lil while now, and thanks to the social distancing and quaranting I've finally got around to it. Essentially I want this space to be filled with my passions, my degree is fairly statistical with a large focus on demography. My spare time is filled with cross stitch and sewing and creative endeavors. So why not combine the two together?! R
